March 12 message: Hey God

I hope Sunday's message, "Hey God" helped you better understand how to pray the way God wants us to. Isn't it amazing God wants us to actually express any need we have any way we want? Just to remind you, we are to ask: simply, repeatedly, and boldly just like King David did. What was your "take away" from the message? What new thing did you learn about prayer? How did you feel as you thought about yourself praying that way? Share your thoughts with us. Leave your comments for us to ponder.

I love learning and being reminded about prayer. Too often I forget that I am to pray as a child or just groan like a child. God gets it better and quicker than I do most days.

I agree with Ann that the alter call was amazing!

Even though I am a writer, I find it difficult to come up with the right words in prayer because they all sound too simple - too "blah" to give to God. So I don't find myself praying that much or that often anymore. I know I should get back to it; your message re-confirmed that God doesn't need multisyllabic fancy speak - often the simplest prayers are best.

My mother says that her most frequent (and best) prayer is "Help." Just that single word, asking God to step in. Now I get it.
